Rachel Carson
        As a writer, scientist, and ecologist, Rachel Carson challenged the world to re-think its environmental practices. This site provides a biography and a list of books by and about her, as well as links and resources.

Ask an Ecologist
        Kids can send questions to a scientist from the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis.

Ask the Answer Worm
        S.K.Worm, the official worm of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service, answers students' questions about soil.

Ask-a-Geologist
        Scientists from the United States Geological Survey answer questions about volcanoes, earthquakes, mountains, rocks, maps, ground water, lakes, and rivers. Don't forget to search their resources before sending a question.

Scientific American's Ask the Experts
        Scientists answer questions about astronomy, biology, chemistry, computers, the environment, geology, mathematics, medicine, and physics.

Mad Scientist Network
